Dibrugarh Health Camp and Awareness Meeting

  • The camp was attended by Dibrugarh District Commissioner Shri Biswajit Pegu, Additional Commissioner Shri Biswajit Phukan, Joint Director of Dibrugarh Health Services Shri Rajiv Barua, Chief Medical and Health Officer (Infectious Diseases) Shri Gauri Shankar Gogoi, and Greenwood Tea The victims were identified as 19-year-old Arun Kumar, a resident of the area, and 19-year-old Arun Kumar, a resident of the area. The Commissioner welcomed the participants and thanked them for participating in the camp. He advised all the women present to have regular health check-ups, especially pregnant/maternity women should take their health seriously. He further stated that the government has launched various health service schemes for the people of tea areas and urged everyone to register their Aadhaar cards to avail the available health services. He also advised all the people to keep in touch with the concerned ASHA workers and especially asked the mothers to take advantage of the services available at the nearest health centers to take care of their health and that of their children. Afterward, the Commissioner interacted with the doctors and authorities of various health services provided in the hospital like the maternity department, mobile medical services through Sanjivani Health Service Centre, treatment of bacterial diseases, general medicine, etc. The camp was attended by a large number of people who received free medicines along with their health check-ups.
